Obiterdictum, goto the Zen Gallery and the Pasolinian Gallery..., Honni Soit Qui Mal Y Pense

FAQs and Mimile's tips

A] Questions

Q1] A rave of a time this site ! You seem more as fallen from a high-speed truck than like a creditworthy professor... What's the matter with you ?
R1] ... Really, that's quite simple when you realize that so many people, especially within our public institutions try to show off as creditable only while extoling austerity (mostly for others)... As regards the academic realm, such actors expound their gloomy inner world to their students, but boring them shitless can't bring them any kind of enthousiasm... Now, as regard my raving way, Obiterdictum is somewhat as its author, with manifold facets more or less polished with relevant life experiences. Whatever the details, I would like with this site encourage any people I am in charge of, close or far from me, to feel the real freedom that any kind of genuine reasearch entails, despite dull as dischwater uncreative people that one happens to find in the realm of the labs.

Q2] Don't you feel worry about unfortunate ways where such a broadcasting could alter your credit ?
R2] ... Aside its teasing points, Obiterdictum is really dedicated to conveying usefull knowledges that prospective detractors should really peruse before jeering at my ways, especially as regard ethical practice and moral rights (cf. Oculatus Abis, and Res Incorporales, herein availble). Moreover, since 1999 when I departed from Lille University, where I had been granted with a life-tenure professorship due to my scientific works, I did'nt relent about hardworking in Le Mans... However, I had to do with nothing more until july 2012, before being at last acknowledged as a firstclass professor...   As used to say my dear Music Master Alain Vay, " In Le Mans, one does not die, but one just rest as dying"... Whatever the matter, as is clearly shown in numerous pictures included in the Pert galleries , "Honni Soit Qui Mal Y Pense"..., then let's bring all the seeds of enthusiasm in every undertaking of ours, whatever may bitch the gloomy shitheads trying to stop us :-) ...

Q3] ... More precisely, considering the profligate pictures where you seem quite saving up with your clothing, aren't you a little bit worried about their deprecating character as regards your scientific reputation ?
R3] ... LOL ! Since my childhood I have never expected any kind of credit in this world, although "great expectations" may happen with all human Ego (then I should'nt make a special case ;-)... However, just take a carefull look at notorious scientists, and you may not to feel so longing, considering so sore frustration and distorted eagerness... Furthermore, you should consider nakedness in metaphoric terms: Indeed, real genuineness requires one to discard all traces of artefact, however convenient or suitable it may socially appear... As regard social exigencies, the chains pictured in the galleries, may be seen as an allegoric view of the pervading daily coercition. Whatever things may be, we are all born without clothing, and everyone will go away when requested, without real need of any clothe... Before that, let's enjoy as a gift all what we are entrusted with nature... Then, CARPE DIEM...

Q4] Why do you offer to everyone your quite various pieces of work in this site ?

R4] ... Practically, I prefer to consider the notion of free price for one who would highlight both quality and interest of a piece he would have carefully observed and appreciated. Then, any earnest and well-off people that would consider in all conscience the interest of a material he used, may proceed to a modest gift to the author. Such a relevant and legitime way to operate is that of Toile Libre hosting my website. On the whole, it would be quite a shame to deprive underprivileged people from unusual information or piece of work, and I think especally to students whatever their age... Now, I'm aware that nowadays, everyone may try to take advantage, pusuing the having (especially for free) against the being (becoming then nothing). It doesn't matter, since... this is my body, my blood, then, all of you, eat and drink :-)    :-)

Q5]  As regards intellectual property, you may be unclear with your overt will to protect intellectual rights, and conversely some longing to present freely any kind of knowledge. How is it with such an issue of yours ?
R5] ... Yes I can understand your point here, and I have clearly to distinguish between patrimonial rights and moral rights. There, I am no longer concerned with the former, as I stand adamantly to protect any kind of moral rights for the creators whatever their field. In the course of my job, I have seen so much stolen results that, in 1998 I felt compelled to attend law lectures. Then, those recent years, a blatant problem arises with people in charge of PhD students, that may sometimes be incited to unduly exploit patentable results, without any moral credit to said students. The pressure of the academic world, running after ever increased h factors, is no help in such predatory temptations... One has to get an exhaustive philosophical experience of life for agreeing to give for free the whole results of a creation...

Q6] You highlight the importance of the pieces of art clearly dissociated from mere technological performance. In this way, what is it about music, as regards especially your quite chaotic course of action?
R6] As with poetry, music stands with a deep force of life, far away from the sheer materialistic ways of nowadays that relentlessly drive to death. Fortunately, people developed efficient mechanisms against recurring trends to eradicate creativity. Music, as a universal language in direct contact with spirituality, is one of the most valuable ways, as it is directed to anyone. Indeed, if you take the way to my pert galleries, you may fathom about such pictures as being loaded with relevant messages... However, we stay in the same register as to get free from the ascendancy of the modern societies. Whatever it is, as one may sometime think about being overloaded with hard undertakings, one has to remember of those wise words in the Ecclesiaste : "Vanitas Vanitatum, et Omnia Vanitas"...

Q7] You did'nt join any kind of content of your scientific papers in obiterdictum. Why did you so ?
R7] ... As a matter of fact, such results are published, then available in relevant journals. Moreover, such prosaic material of the daily life would be of no interest, even antinomic in the scope of obiterdictum. However, I don't exclude in the coming years to present mathematical points as their consequences would lead to philosophical issues, far from technical applications...

Q8] Would you have any advice for students who would consider to take up research and teaching as a job?
R8] ... Hummm... a tricky point there... At first, as a main point, one should never be impressed or disheartened by the stringent formalism that often characterizes uncreative people... However, one has to be aware of such a heavy-gloomy majority in the realm of scientists... Indeed, most often, brilliant and creative people are kind and simple... Then, as regards the endeavours to bring on the daily task, one may ponder on the Alchemist's motto... Ora, ora, labora, lege, relege, inveniesque... et Oculatus Abis...
